A Sunny Wedding at Elmore Court, Gloucestershire, England

A relaxed outdoor summer wedding at the stunning venue Elmore Court- Gloucestershire

Tucked away in the heart of Gloucester, Elmore Court is one of those places that just feels like home the moment you step through its doors. It's the kind of venue that combines elegance and warmth in the most beautiful way, making it the perfect spot for your wedding day.

This stunning house dates all the way back to the 1500s and offers a real slice of British history, complete with grand bedrooms, lovely state rooms, and acres of gorgeous grounds. Each room is unique, decorated with its own charm, giving your guests a chance to stay somewhere truly special. And if you're looking for something a bit different, there are even treehouses for a modern twist on the traditional wedding stay!

With so many options for ceremony spaces, Elmore Court gives you the flexibility to make your day truly yours, and to really put your stamp on it. As we all know the British weather might be a little unpredictable, but there is nothing to worry about at this venue- whether you choose to marry in the grand main hall or outside on the front lawn surrounded by greenery, the venue will provide a beautiful, memorable backdrop no matter what.

When I came to photograph Rob + Emma’s day at Elmore Court, it happened to be one of the hottest days in August. The sun was shining, and everyone was truly ready to enjoy a spectacular day. In the shade of a large tree, Rob and Emma said their vows on the large lawn in front of the venue. A gorgeous floral backdrop completed their ceremony space. After being showered with confetti as they walked down the aisle (which is always my favourite way to do confetti in an outdoor wedding ceremony). The party continued onto the back lawn of the house. Where ice cream was served for all guests, the perfect way to keep your wedding guests cooled and satisfied in a summer wedding.

The vibe for Emma and Rob’s wedding day, was to have a very relaxed and chilled day surrounded by their closest family and friends. The atmosphere was perfect for this, everyone basked in the sunshine while relaxing with drinks.

Later, we all gathered in the Gillyflower Room for heartfelt speeches and amazing food prepared by the team at Elmore Court. Honestly, the speeches are always one of my favourite parts of the day because they give you a chance to hear the couple’s story and capture those candid moments of laughter and emotion as everyone shares in the joy of the day.

The golden hour on this day was truly spectacular, so I grabbed the Newlyweds and headed out into the field, just part of the vast stunning grounds at this beautiful venue. We captured some beautiful moments of the bride and groom with their son, and then we had fun with Emma + Rob dancing in the field together. I love capturing moments of the newlyweds on the evening, at this time, you are usually a lot more relaxed and fully in the swing of the day, allowing you to capture true authentic moments of the two of you together.

The dance floor kicked off with all the guests participating in ceilidh dancing, which is a great way to get all of your guests involved, to get a jam-packed dance floor and to start your evening of festivities off in the best way

Elmore Court is truly a special place, offering everything you could possibly want for a wedding—beautiful surroundings, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and a team that really makes you feel at home. If you’re looking for a venue that will make your wedding unforgettable, Elmore Court in the heart of the Cotswolds is an absolute gem.
