Q: WE’RE NOT USED TO HAVING OUR PHOTO TAKEN, AND THINK WE’RE GOING TO BE VERY AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, IS THAT GOING TO BE OK?
A: Yes! Trust me when I say that almost every one of my couples have said this to me. Most of my couple’s are awkward in front of the camera, but they look great because they’re having an awesome time. My aim is to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the shooting process, so most of the time I will have you looking at one another rather than at me... For some reason, people tend to find their partners face amusing, and end up in fits of giggles. Which is great!!
Q: ARE WE ALLOWED TO MEET YOU BEFORE THE WEDDING?
A: Yes please! I encourage all of my clients to try and meet me before your special day just for an informal chat. Whether we meet in person or if you’re further afield, chat over Zoom, I think it’s great for us to get to know each other better.**
Q: IS IT NECESSARY THAT YOU SEE THE VENUE BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY?
A: If you want me to visit your venue before your date, that is completely fine and I will be more than happy to do that. I do not think it is a necessity though, I have shot plenty of weddings previously where my first visit is on the wedding day. I like to shoot at new venues as it allow me to see your day with completely fresh eyes!**
Q: HOW LONG DO YOU SHOOT FOR?
A: For my Gold package there is no limit to my hours. I believe my job is to tell the story of your day from start to finish. I consider a full days coverage from bride/groom prep all through way through to those drunken dancing shots of your guests. My Silver package is perfect for couples who only want a selection of your day captured, therefore, I do have a limit on 6 hours for this package.
Q: HOW MANY PICTURES DO WE GET?
A: For a full day’s coverage, I will say you will get a minimum of 750 pictures. I am there to photograph your day for you, so if there’s lots going on, you will more than likely get more. I will never put a maximum cap on the amount of images that you will receive. If you book a second photographer you will get even more.
Q: HOW LONG AFTER OUR WEDDING WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
A: I will always send you over a few “sneak peeks” a few days after the wedding. It will then take me about 8-10weeks (during busy periods) to get all your photos posted out to you. I will try my best to get them out to you sooner, as I know you will be desperate to see them. But I do take pride in my editing as I want to make sure every image is perfect for you.
Q: CAN WE PRINT OUR PHOTOS?
A: Of course you can! I encourage you to print all of your photos! You will be able to order prints through your online gallery, or you are free to print them wherever you want!
Q: WE’RE GETTING MARRIED ABROAD, DO YOU TRAVEL?
A: Yes! I love to travel. So far I have been lucky enough to shoot weddings in Morocco, Santorini, Cyprus and Malta. I will be happy to travel to wherever in the world your wedding takes us!
Q: DO YOU DO GROUP SHOTS?
A: Of course. These are really important! I usually say to try and keep group shots to a maximum of 10 groups. Otherwise it can start to become time consuming just to gather everyone. Believe it or not, some people would prefer to be at the bar drinking! Who would have thought!
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE ILL ON THE DAY?
A: Touch wood, I have never been too ill to not attend a wedding day. However, if this was to happen, only a very serious illness would prevent me from attending. But fear not! I am in a very good community of wedding photographers, so if the worst was to happen, I will try my very best to find a trusted replacement to capture your day! If I cannot, you would receive a full refund.
Q: DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU?
A: I never request food to be provided, as I know you have plenty more other things to think about. If you do provide me with food, that is fantastic! Thank you very much! If not, just let me know, so I remember to bring along a packed lunch!
** 20 miles of travel (from WS12 3HR) is included in my consultation or venue visit. If you want me to meet up with you and you are further afield, that is perfectly fine, however, it will be an additional 50p per mile.
